Here is a fantastic opener for your corporate worship service! This familiar hymn is often sung with a heavy "3-quarter-note" feel, and in this arrangement the accompaniment is presented in a folky 6/8 lightness. Three stanzas are offered, but the repeat can be taken twice, which can offer 4 stanzas total. The key has been lowered to E-flat and F for a normal range of congregational singing voices. Instrumentalists will enjoy making the most of the downbeats and the dotted quarters on the ends of phrases.
