This Getty hymn is well-loved because of its strength in text and tune, and this arrangement makes sure to feature both aspects. The piano introduction captures the Getty's intended harmonic progressions, and progresses in the same vein as the stanzas develop. A repeat is offered as a duplicate setting for the first/second stanzas, so the instrumentalists may desire to tacet for the first stanza, and only come in for the second. A brief tacet is also written for the beginning of the third stanza, and then the instrumentalists crescendo into the middle and continue building into the key change and the fourth stanza as the final climax.
